This is actually a youtube tag I am answering, it was created by the youtuber
Thackery Binx. So you can answer it yourself if you want to. Anyways onto the questions!
1. Do you remember how you developed a love for reading?
It is hard to say when I devolved a love for reading because I can't remember a time when I didn't read. I was always read to as a child, my favorite book being The Beauty and the Beast, a large book with beautiful pictures depicting scenes from Disney's Beauty and the Beast. This reading started a love of hearing stories and once I got old enough to read I continued searching out stories to read on my own. There has been times when I haven't felt like reading for a while but I always come back to it. I guess I just like stories.
2. Where do you usually read?
In my bed mostly, or if I am adventurous I read on the couch, occasionally I will read in the car because car rides can get a little boring, and I have tried reading outside, but I find that it is too distracting.
3. Do you prefer to read one book at a time or several at once?
I prefer to read just one, but I have read more than that at a time. Mostly when I read more than one it is because I have started to get bored of one book but have yet given up completely on it and thus I read other books that I enjoy better. Other times I read more than one because one book is slower or more interesting and the other one is a quick light read. I will read more than one when there is something that just came out that I am so looking forward to and want to read it immediately.
4. What is your favorite genre?
I would say either historical fiction, or science fiction.
5. What genre will you not read?
There is no genre I will not read, however there are some that I tend to read a lot less, or at least do not gravitate towards. This includes fantasy, while I have read Harry Potter, Percy Jackson series (I guess that's a fantasy because they have powers?), and The Hobbit, when I look at books; fantasies tend not to interest me that much. It also includes Horror, I am not big on horror in books or in movies and will tend to shy away, mostly because I am easily scared and so I tread carefully, although there are some horror I would like to read, mostly classic horrors such as Frankenstein, Dracula, and some of the works of H.P. Lovecraft.
6. Do you have a favorite book?
Yes, All Quite on the Western Front.
7. What is the worst book you've ever read?
I am not sure, I have read some pretty bad books but I tend to give up pretty quick, I will say the last book that I gave up on because of sheer dislike was "DUFF". I could not understand the reasoning the main character employed, this guy is super mean to you and calls you fat and ugly, and you dislike him. Better kiss him, because that's logically. And if you wanted to say "Yes, but teenagers aren't logically" that's fine and all but I will not read a book where I do not understand the main characters logic at all. Mostly it seemed like the main character thought "what option will cause the most drama in my life? Let's choose that one and then complain 'why is my life so drama filled?!'" It infuriated me so I stopped.
8. What is the biggest book you've ever read?
I will assume one of the Harry Potter's probably the last one.
9. What was the last book you bought?
I bought a new copy of To Kill a Mockingbird because my copy has marker all over it because I bought it at a thrift shop for .50, however I am going to reread it soon because I loved that novel and I haven't read it for a long time.
10. Which do you prefer library books or buying books?
Well, I love owning books but I don't have as much money as I would like (then again does anybody?) Mostly I try to buy books when they are in a thrift store or it is something that I think I will really enjoying reading. I try to take books out of the library when I am not sure I will like them. However, sometimes I really want to read a book and my library either doesn't have or it has so many holds on it I am not sure when it will come in, in that case I tend to buy the novel.
11. What are you reading now?
I am currently reread Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone after that I have a stack of books next to my bed that I want to get to!
12. What are the disadvantages of being a book lover?
People can be pretentious if you dislike a certain book, if you have not read a certain book, or worst if you happen to like a book they have decided is beneath them. Reading is a hobby and the books that I like are personal choices of how I choose to spend my time, everyone has their own opinion which books they like and which they hate, which is fine I may not agree with it, but it is their opinion I don't have to agree, however when it crosses the line for me is when it becomes the PEOPLE who read certain books or genres are stupid/silly/etc. That's when I am unimpressed.
